Your Low Voltage Subcontractor, From Rough-In to Closeout
Martec Technologies is a Florida-licensed low voltage contractor that works under South Florida electrical contractors. We take the low voltage scope off your plate, price it into your bid, and work under your supervision, so your crews stay on power and your schedule stays intact.
The low voltage scope we take off your plate
One licensed low voltage sub for the systems that usually need three. We read your drawings, price our scope to your bid, and coordinate it with your power rough-in.
Structured cabling
Copper and fiber backbone, CAT6A horizontal cabling, racks and terminations, tested and labeled. See structured wiring and BDA.
BDA / DAS public safety radio
Bi-directional amplifier systems for public safety radio coverage in new buildings and retrofits, in line with Florida county code requirements for in-building emergency radio. More on BDA/DAS public safety radio.
Access control
Card and biometric readers, door hardware integration, visitor management and audit-trail logging. See surveillance and access control.
CCTV and IP surveillance
HD IP cameras, PTZ, centralized NVR recording and video-wall monitoring.
Audio-visual
Conference rooms, LED video walls, distributed audio, and auditorium sound and stage lighting. See audio-visual.
Lighting control (Lutron)
Lutron HomeWorks QSX and RadioRA 3 design, keypads, and scene programming, coordinated with your dimming and load schedule. See Lutron lighting control and motorized shades.
Motorized shades
Lutron Sivoia QS, Hunter Douglas and Somfy motorized shading, integrated with lighting control and automation.
Also installed and programmed: Savant, Control4.
How we work under the electrician
You stay the prime on the electrical package. We work as your sub, to your schedule and your standards.
Submittals and shop drawings
Low voltage floor plans, riser and connection diagrams, and product data are submitted through you before we touch a wall. Our low voltage scope of work guide shows what we cover.
Permits, insurance and licensing
We pull our own low voltage permits. Martec holds a Florida state low voltage contractor license and carries general liability and workers’ compensation insurance. COI available on request.
Schedule and coordination
We attend pre-construction and coordination meetings, sequence our rough-in around your power and the HVAC sub, and staff to your milestones. Our pre-wire checklist shows the sequence.
Testing and certification
Every cable run is tested and labeled. Systems are commissioned and owner staff are trained before handover.
As-builts and closeout
We document every run, panel and device, with a complete handoff package at completion for your closeout binder.

Why electricians use Martec
We don’t compete for your electrical scope
We are a low voltage contractor. We bid back to you, not around you, and we stay out of your power work.
Crews that show up on schedule
On institutional work we have phased installs around fixed calendars, with weekends, breaks and summer windows, and handed each space back commissioned.
Florida-licensed since 2013
Continuous operation in South Florida since July 2013, with more than 1,000 completed projects across Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach. About Martec.
One sub, one point of accountability

Frequently asked questions
Do you bid through the electrical contractor or directly to the GC?
Both work for us. When the low voltage scope sits in your electrical package, we price it to you and work as your sub. We don’t go around you to the GC or owner.
Which low voltage systems can you cover on one job?
Structured cabling, BDA/DAS public safety radio, access control, CCTV, audio-visual, Lutron lighting control and motorized shades. Savant and Control4 programming are also done in-house.
Do you pull your own low voltage permits?
Yes. We pull our own low voltage permits and carry general liability and workers’ compensation insurance under our Florida state low voltage contractor license.
What do we get at closeout?
Tested and labeled cabling, commissioned systems, trained owner staff, and a documentation package covering every run, panel and device.
What areas do you serve?
Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.
How do we get a price?
Email the low voltage drawings and specs to bids@gomartec.com or call (786) 383-3829. We’ll review the scope and price it into your bid.
Can a low voltage company work as a subcontractor to an electrical contractor in Miami?
Yes. Martec Technologies works as the low voltage sub for electrical contractors across Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach: structured cabling, BDA/DAS, access control, cameras, AV and Lutron lighting control. We price that scope inside the electrician’s number, work under their supervision, pull our own LV permits and hand over as-builts at closeout. Send LV drawings to bids@gomartec.com.
