The same five steps on every project, whether it is a new estate or one room in an existing condo.
Design
We review the drawings or walk the home, then deliver a device schedule, rack location and a written proposal.
Pre-wire
Structured cabling run to the plan and documented run by run, coordinated with the builder and the electrician.
Install
Keypads, touch screens, equipment racks and network gear installed and tested room by room.
Programming
Scenes, schedules and the app are programmed in-house by our own team and reviewed with you before handover.
Support
Training, a documentation package and ongoing support, updates and expansion as the home changes.
New construction or an existing home
Control4 works in both. The approach is different.
New construction
The best results come from joining at the drawings. We place keypads on the elevations, plan the rack and pre-wire before drywall, so nothing is an afterthought. See our low-voltage program for builders.
Existing homes and condos
Control4 can be added in stages using existing wiring and wireless devices where it makes sense, starting with the rooms you use most and expanding later.
Already have Control4? We can take it over.
Many Miami homeowners have a Control4 system whose original installer is no longer responsive. We can review the system, take over support and bring it up to date.
System takeover
We audit the existing controller, devices and network, document what is installed and confirm what is needed to transfer the account to Martec.
Upgrades
Controller and touch screen upgrades, new rooms, new lighting or shades, and software updates done carefully so existing scenes keep working.
Service plans
Ongoing remote and on-site support for systems we install or take over, with clear response expectations agreed in writing.

How much does a Control4 system cost?
It depends on the number of rooms and which systems are included. A few rooms of lighting and music is a very different scope from a whole estate. After we review the drawings or walk the home, we provide a written, itemized proposal.
How long does a Control4 installation take?
A retrofit of a few rooms can be completed in days. New construction follows the build schedule, with pre-wire at rough-in and programming at trim and final.
Can you take over a Control4 system installed by another dealer?
Yes. We review the existing system, document it and coordinate the transfer so we can support, update and expand it.
Does Control4 work with Lutron and motorized shades?
Yes. Control4 integrates with Lutron lighting and shades as well as Hunter Douglas and Somfy motorization.
